Welcome!

You've come to the right place for information about my novels and other aspects of my life.

What's new?

We've entered a New Year, and my part of New England is very white and wintry. Our first significant snowfall came in early December, as did the first blizzard. The early days of 2010 brought a major snowstorm.

Having completed the first draft of my historical novel about 17th century aristocrats and royals I'm now revising it. The cookbook I edited for a nonprofit organisation has been selling extremely well and had its fourth printing!

I've posted my November-December 2008 travelogue!

Before long I'll add the 2009 version--London, Antwerp, The Hague, and more. As a preview, here I am at Paleis Het Loo in Apeldoorn, The Netherlands, setting for a couple of scenes in my novel.

The map below--St. James's and Westminster--shows one of the areas in which my real-life characters lived and loved.

Summer travels seem but a distant memory. The Historical Novel Society conference in June was everything I hoped it might be, and more. Held near Chicago, it was an opportunity to see long-time friends and make many new ones. In July I spent 12 days in Anaheim for a non-writing conference. I had a delighful visit to Montréal, always a favourite destination. I'm regularly blogging. The blog serves as a diary of my activities, literary and otherwise. (Mostly otherwise!)

I hope you will bookmark this site, and return from time to time.

            Enjoy your visit!
